Garth Herrick is a portrait painter, sculptor and figurative fine artist. An honors graduate from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in 1985, from 1988-1991 Herrick launched his career contributing to the sculpture of Leonardo da Vinci’s daunting 'Horse.' It was unveiled in 1999 in Milan, Italy, the world’s largest bronze equestrian monument at the time. In 2005, Herrick became a finalist in the Portrait Society of America’s prestigious international competition, followed by a host of other honors and awards in 2006 and 2007.  Besides his outstanding figurative work, portraits include government officials and are found in many state and university collections. Herrick's work was also featured in the June, 2008, issue of American Artist magazine. (See work in Sculpture also.)
