Jill Soukup, a Colorado native, graduated from Colorado State University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.  Initially pursuing a career in graphic design, in 2002 she made the important decision to paint full time.  Since then, her work has met with outstanding acclaim, the inspiration owing to 'returning again and again to the juxtaposition between rigid, mechanical, man-made, fluid, and organic aspects of nature, discovering that despite their contrasts, they share and exchange the same tendencies.’ (See work in Landscape also.)
