Ryan S. Brown knew quite young he wanted to be an artist. Born in Utah, the pursuit led him first to Brigham Young University, then to studies with renowned painter William Whitaker and finally to the Florence Academy of Art in Italy. In 2003-2006 Ryan began teaching, opening his own Classical Drawing Academy while also instructing at the Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art. With acclaim from all quarters, Ryan today resides in Utah, painting and teaching at his Center for Academic Study and Naturalist Painting (CAS).  (See work in Figurative also.)
